What Guests Are Saying
Black Canyon Campground is praised for its cleanliness, well-maintained facilities, and beautiful surroundings, making it a favored spot for campers. The spacious sites, friendly camp hosts, and proximity to hiking trails and Santa Fe enhance the overall experience. However, the lack of water has been a consistent issue, and some visitors have reported problems with caterpillar infestations and site accessibility.

I have been camping at Black Canyon since 2010. This year was such a terrible disappointment due to the fact that all campsites were occupied by giant Rv s . This means THAT GENERATORS WERE RUNNING AND THERE WAS NO PEAcE AND QUIET TO BE FOUND, Furthermore the campground hostess was clearly not suited for th job. She terrorized the campground by cruising at a high rate of speed in her little golf cart with vicious dog chained to the back seat. She harassed the folks in the campsite next to me , did not turn off the motor so she had to yell to be heard, the elderly couple had invited their son to dinner, and the host told them they had to pay her for the extra vehicle at the site. This terrified my 4 yeat old granddaughter, especially the dog in the back of her cart as we walked down the road,

Our site was beautifully situated amongst the trees, however the bathroom was filthy - the worst I've ever experienced in a campground - and it remained uncleaned for our entire four-day stay with the same trash and puddle of urine on the floor. Terrible!

Nice little campground. Hosts were flexible and responsive. Potable water would have been nice.
