Our first "glamping" experience at ages 77 and 75 - quite the adventure AND with our rescue dog Callie. The campsite was excellent, tent was spacious, linens, etc provided! We had electricity in the tent but the one lamp was inadequate for lighting - would recommend a larger pole type light! Campsite was clean and near bathroom facilities all quite adequate. Hosts Jack and RoseMarie were very welcoming, friendly and informative (to be factual they are family) but excellent hosts and welcomers nevertheless. Temps were in high 50's at night, a bit cool so bring extra comforter. Very peaceful and quiet (it's lights out at 9pm and everyone complies (or they are just ready for bed). A positive experience ` we will come back!

My husband and I were very impressed with the staff. They made us feel welcome and came around the glamping site several times to see if we needed anything. We had several questions about the area when we checked out and the staff was very personable, knowledgeable and willing to share information.
Be aware... this is not really glamorous camping. Yes, it has a queen sized bed and a bit of electric to get you around the tent, but basically it is a campsite with a large, sturdy tent. The bathrooms were within a short distance of our tent and the toilets were clean, but I would not consider the showers to be hot nor cleaned of creepy, crawly things.
Please read all the updates that the website has posted. Due to Covid they do not provide a cooler nor do they have a place to purchase wood or ice. It was not necessarily a problem for us, but if you do not do your research you may not know this. Also, the glamping area is dark, so remember to take flashlights and lanterns.
That being said, it was a much needed break for two people who have not been away from our house for 5 months due to the coronavirus. We enjoyed hiking around the lake, doing a bit of fishing, and cooking some good food on the fire pit. We stayed three days and wished we had would have booked at least two more days.
