Every campsite here is incredible. Such privacy, so many trees, opportunities to fish, mountain bike, and hike! The restrooms have hot water and nice showers. We had a wonderful wonderful wonderful stay!!!

Its a beautiful place to camp! The bathrooms are clean and everyone was so nice! I'm a single solo female camper and did not worry at all about being alone there. I'll definitely be back to explore more!

Great campground! Clean restrooms and showers. Staff was great! The lake and trails were beautiful and the Blue Ridge Parkway nearby was a filled with beautiful views. #58 was a great shaded site and private.

We had a great visit, staying in the Hard Times loop. Our campsite was very comfortable. We were there on Labor Day weekend, and the campground was full for the holiday, which made the very limited number of bathrooms (just 2 for each loop?) a challenge. We hiked to the Arboretum, which was a really nice journey. It would be nice if the campground offered an accurate trail map that did not cost $15. The water in the "swimming" area was only about 2 ft deep, so keep that in mind.

Very nice campground. Our site had water, sewer, and power. Very convenient to Asheville, yet still very quiet and peaceful. Bathhouse nice and clean.

We love the hiking and camping experiences at Powhatan. There seems to be a lack of maintenance there, we informed the staff that the back stop 6 x 6" beam was dislodged at site #48 at the 2nd of August, when we returned at the end of August it was gone, there is a drop-off of at least 10 ft behind the site and the fire ring is in a 2" - 3" deep lake when it rains. Over the last few years half the time there isn't any ice to buy. The staff is friendly and we like camping there.
