First time that I have camped here in several years. Everything was perfect! The site layout for my site was perfect and allowed me set everything up just how I like it! The site was clean and level. I grew up camping here and at Bandit's Roost so it was nice to relive some of those childhood memories!

Warrior Creek is one of our favorite campgrounds and we enjoyed our visit this blistering July. My husband and I tent-camped for four nights with our 6- and 8-year-old grandchildren (they were first time campers). Thankfully, the nighttime temps gave some relief from the hot days and we were lulled to sleep each night by frog-song and other of nature's nighttime musicians. We stayed in campsite #1, which is great for privacy and offers access to a nice field for play, and is near the vault toilets. We noticed this site has been reworked since the last time we visited, which was mostly good. However, the charcoal grill now occupies part of the tent pad, which made it unusable during our visit, as the tent needs to be well away from any sources of fire. The charcoal grill really needs to be moved back to the same end as the fire pit so that tent-campers can use either. We barely had room for our tent and it was right up against the charcoal grill. This is especially important for this particular site, as it is categorized as a tent site. We interacted with no personnel during our visit, but noticed work going on in the background and things were nicely maintained and clean. Our only other suggestion is that the swim beach really needs to be dredged out again. The bottom is clay-like muck just a short distance in and very unpleasant to walk in. The depth was only 3.5' not the 5-6' expected at the boundaries. Making the beach pleasant and usable is especially important right now when other children's activities, like the playground, are closed. We used our kayaks twice after dinner and enjoyed the calm and cool water, a nice respite from the heat of the day. We picnicked one afternoon at nearby Blood Creek Overlook, a nice place with day-use picnic tables and fishing opportunities nearby.

Nice park. First site was unlevel (14) so we moved to another site (58). The second site was amazing, level and spacious. The electric and water were good, the gravel was good, the picnic table was enormous, there were 2 lantern hooks, and a fire ring. The spot was so big, we probably could have fit 2 RVs there. The spot was quiet. It was at the very bad of the park down a pretty curvy and narrow road but my husband said it wasn’t too bad to drive the class A.

My only real complaints were that there was poison ivy right beside our site. My son is highly allergic so I was nervous. And the dump station near us was a tight squeeze for our 38ft class A.

We didn’t go to the lake or anything so I can’t speak of that.

My husband went for a run and said that the second loop was very overgrown and looked rough.

Very nice campground. Bath house was very clean. I wish they had trash cans on every site. It was very cumbersome to haul trash off to the dumpster. The fishing piers and beach area were nice. The weekend we stayed, there was a power outage nearby and the gate to get out could not be opened for about 2-3 hours. There should have been an override or a manual way to open the gate. Very friendly staff. We would definitely stay again.
