Be mindful that running bath and toilet are not at every camp so you have drive to it , very inconvenient if you are with kids for them vaulted toilet is no go so you have to waste good 1 hr every day just for this plus the drive to them and only 2 available running toilet in whole camp.
I had 3 days reservation after reaching there and seeing the situation moved out in 1 day.

The park is beautiful with lots of hiking and biking trails. There is a boat ramp, several places to launch your kayak, or fish from shore. The swim beach needs work though.
The campsites are spacious and most have a nice amount of shade. All park employees we encountered were friendly and helpful. We will stay here again.

Everything was good except for the shower house on the hill was out of order the entire time we were there. It made it frustrating to have to use the other shower house with so many people.
Other than that it was a good experience.

There are over 60 campsites p;us group campsites. They have two bath houses for all those sites and one of the two was completely shut down over Memorial Day Weekend due to plumbing issues - shameful to not fix this quickly.

Super clean campground! Lots of bike riding to be had. Great lake access. 2 Lantern stands, fire ring, picnic table, and a grill at each site. All sites in our area were really level and easy to set up on.

We come to the Wilksboro area every year to attend Merlefest, which is an excellent roots music festival that lasts 4 days with 12 stages featuring some of the best folk, bluegrass, singer/songwriter in the country. The last several year we have been camping at Kerr Scott reservoir. This year we were at Warrior Creek campground.
The facilities were nice. The site was very large. the rest rooms and showers are above average, and well maintained. We have a small pop-up camper, but there is room for any kind of RV or trailer.
