What Guests Are Saying
Cedar Point Campground is a beautiful and well-maintained location with spacious, private sites and great facilities, including clean bathrooms and warm showers. Guests appreciate its proximity to beaches and local attractions, along with peaceful walking trails. Some minor issues were noted, such as inconsistent water temperatures and occasional noise from neighboring sites, but overall, visitors express a strong desire to return.

The maintenance has definitely gone downhill since I stayed there a year ago (which puts this spot on par with most other campgrounds). Lots of dead leaves, pine needles, broken limbs. The price has increased substantially due to the new electrical fee and the reservation fee, but the online reservation system is so difficult to use it does not make this the great deal it once was. I incurred a reservation fee for almost every day as the system only allows booking of one site at a time. I had hoped to get one of the five FF sites, but the same rv’s were parked there every day. If it’s a FF site, shouldn’t each day be available to the first one waiting at checkout time? Instead campers are using the FF option to stay at the site without an advance reservation. It seems it would be more equitable to have all sites available for booking as FF doesn’t actually mean one could show up and possibly stay without a reservation. Very disappointing.

Little ground level shrubbery but plenty of space between sites. Well maintained Sites. Trail walk is wonderful. Close to Emerald Isle, Swansboro. Great location.

This is a lovely little campground in a beautiful location. The recreation.gov reservation website needs some work. It is difficult to navigate and would not allow me to use my phone to make the reservation. After several days of trying I tried my laptop and it worked fine. More regression testing of the site with multiple end user devices would avoid these type issues.

Although we rate the campground as “very good,” we thought the bathhouse was only a “good.” They were clean and better than adequate.
