For the price charged I think the cabins need to be upgraded with power be it solar or some other source.Seems like the southern end of island is receiving the bulk of the funds.

Fees, fees, fees!! Y’all keep going up on everything but you won’t put any money back into the cabins. There was over $50k dock built to accommodate all the day trippers but you can’t spend a penny on the ragged cabins. The rates are out of this world expensive for what you’re getting. Yes it’s all about getting away but for $180 per night you could have some sort of power system like what was at Portsmouth. There’s mice and snakes in the one I just came from so be ware if you stay in cabin 5.

The cabins are definitely better than a tent in the wind! We enjoyed the stay, cabins could use a little TLC.

Cabins clean, screens not damaged. Plenty of chairs & 2 tables made it convenient. Only complaint was hot water heater. On demand hot water was ridiculous. Took too long to get hot water & then no way to adjust it. Either far too hot for short periods or turned cold instantly if u tried to adjust it at all.

Trip was awesome and visit was as expected at the cabin. This was our first time to the Great Island Cabin and our expectations of our cabin was based off what we had already read online. These cabins are basic and rustic to say the least but the location makes up for it. Considering the alternative accommodations (camping) on the island, the cabins are a 3 star hotel.
