What Guests Are Saying
Jackrabbit Mountain is a beautiful campground with scenic lake views and well-maintained hiking and biking trails. Many campers appreciate the clean bathrooms and spacious, private campsites, making it a great spot for families and nature enthusiasts. While some facilities could use improvement, such as the bathroom hooks and the absence of firewood for sale, the overall experience remains positive, with friendly hosts and a peaceful atmosphere.

This is one of my favorite campgrounds. My family and I camp here every year. We always get a different campsite and it is always a good campsite. My favorite thing to do is ride my mountain bike on the trails.

This camp site as of 5/25 needs improvement. Tent pad is old and slanted, picnic table is concrete , not level and was in a mud puddle. Needs a revamp like the campsite next to this one.

Great location for a group camping trip. My only complaints are not taking care of poison ivy right next to tent pads and the hand dryer in the men's bathroom in loop C has never worked in the almost 15 years I've been visiting.

Beautiful location, lake access, tons of free range kids that roam around and entertain your kids, mountain bike trails -- what more could you ask for?

The campground staff was friendly and helpful. The campground was clean and taken care of. Beach and swim area were tons of fun for the kids. There were both shallow and deep areas. Kids enjoyed fishing at the campsite.

This was a very unpleasant stay due to the other campground guests' dogs that produced incessant and unbelievably loud screams. They were a couple campsites down from me on either side and it absolutely ruined my experience. Why bring your dog and make them miserable? Happy and relaxed dogs don't make those kind of sounds for hours upon hours. I left early, because of the other guests. Please don't be selfish. If your dog doesn't enjoy it, and you don't respect your neighbors, then just stay home.

We love Lake Chatuge and have enjoyed camping there! The host is very friendly and we were very happy with that! Our camp site, A22 was not exactly what we expected as the neighboring campsite is directly in front of our camper door! Too close! This would be ok for booking together but not for two separate parties! Overall we had a great weekend!
