What Guests Are Saying
Jackrabbit Mountain is a beautiful campground with scenic lake views and well-maintained hiking and biking trails. Many campers appreciate the clean bathrooms and spacious, private campsites, making it a great spot for families and nature enthusiasts. While some facilities could use improvement, such as the bathroom hooks and the absence of firewood for sale, the overall experience remains positive, with friendly hosts and a peaceful atmosphere.

The campsite spots were spacious and shaded and very comfortable. The bathrooms are basic but clean and functional. And we really enjoyed being able to walk down the hill and jump into the lake. Also having bike trails right there made for a fun-filled vacation without having to drive anywhere.

It is more rustic than I like, but it's good.

Great campground but the host does little. I messed up my schedule and thought I had an additional night. The host never came by to tell me my reservation was up. The next camper arrived at 6 pm and said I was on his site. Should not have happened.

Campground was beautiful. Bathrooms were clean. We stayed in spot 23 which was the perfect spot with kids who wanted to swim all day. Campsite is on the water with a mini beach. The only thing I wished our site had were some stairs from the car to the tent/picnic area. We have T-Mobile and service was good.

Pleasant camping area. We love this car camping recreation area as it’s a couple hours away and have returned year after year. Lots of trees which make it cooler for the daytime. Plenty of trails nearby. A lake to paddle and swim in. Sure wish there were no motored watercraft allowed in this cove.
Issues that should be addressed; Some of the bathrooms need repair. Too many invasive plants taking over.
Common courtesy for all campers;
~Be respectful of others. Screaming children don’t make a peaceful experience. There are outside voices and there are “ come get me, I’m in peril” voices. We are not at a ball game a bullfight or a cage match. Teach your children they don’t have to holler all their waking hours.
~Adults, why does your conversation get louder as the sun goes down and you are sitting around a hot (in the summer!) campfire? Jesus!
~Don’t bring your dog if you cannot control their constant barking! Please keep them leashed.
~Running your car to charge your devices pollutes the air of everyone around you. Stay off your device, you are at a lovely lake and in nature, soak it in! Or bring a charger.
~No one wants to hear the loud music you are playing expect you! Lower the volume!
~Don’t throw your garbage in the bathroom trash cans. Bring your own trash bags. There are dumpsters available on the main road.
~Please don’t throw your leftover food in the woods around your campsite. Others are renting the space after you and no one enjoys leftover food in the woods, except varmints.
~There is a ten o’clock curfew. Quiet down and please don’t run your generator (your music or your mouth) Most of us come to relax and leave the noise of the city behind.
~It’s Mother Nature, show her some respect and love.
