Beautiful campground very close to town. Really a perfect spot to explore Highlands and the surrounding area. Only downside was the near daily leaf blower usage by the campground hostess. Two of our three mornings here she blew every single leaf from the campground road with a stinky gas blower, just a few feet from where we were outside in our site with our kiddos playing. You could hear it throughout the whole campground for close to an hour each day. While I appreciate a clean campground, this was totally unnecessary. It was summer and there were only a few leaves falling… and anyway, it’s a forest!

We really enjoyed our stay. The campsites are very woodsy and it doesn't feel crowded at all, very peaceful. The camp site was configured very well. There is no electric, but there is water near the sites. The bathrooms and showers were very clean. You can access hiking trails from the campsite and walk or drive to the recreation area with a lake with a small swimming area, picnic tables, and fishing. The camp hosts were kind and helpful. You can buy wood there. You are just about 10 minutes from the main street in Highlands and a close drive to many waterfalls. I would go again!

Nice, private campsite in shaded woods. Clean facilities. Friendly Hosts.
NO ELECTRIC ANYWHERE in this campground though! The bathhouse has electricity... Would it be possible to add some outlets at least to the bathhouse? Recharge a phone... use a hairdryer... etc. That would be nice to have. Love the campground, but no electricity (and generators not allowed to run 24/7) is an issue that makes me 2nd guess coming back.

We had a blast tent camping for the first time as a family. We loved the fire pit and cozying around it to make smores. We also enjoying the little brook right near our campsite! Highlands is a STUNNING little town and the waterfalls were equally perfect!

A very nice campground. You will hear road noise as this campground backs up to 64. The bathrooms are super clean and camp sights nicely spaced. Nice hikes and waterfalls nearby. Highlands city proper is aa short drive for boutique shopping, or to grab a bite.

Wow! It was beautiful! So well kept! I’ve never seen national park bathrooms this pristine! The hosts were extraordinarily helpful! I can’t wait to return.
