Harmon Den Campground offers well-maintained campsites and open trails, providing a generally peaceful atmosphere. While some visitors experienced noise from nearby construction workers and issues with hornets at the entry gate, the facilities, including clean toilets, were appreciated. Overall, the campground is reasonably cared for, though cleanliness may vary compared to other sites.

Was nice most of the stay, construction workers from I40 rebuilding were staying in a trailer 2 sites away. They left for a day and came back before dark, staying 45 minutes with there side by side running. Then left only to leave there generator running never cutting off till I left next day was annoying. Other than that was very peaceful.

This campground was reasonably well cared for, although not as clean as other FS campgrounds I have stayed. The first 3 of my 4 night stay was quiet as I was the only one there. The toilets were clean and stocked. The only negative was the entry gate. Having a lock is fine and it was nice that I could "lock myself in" so the campground was't getting cruisers, but on my second entry I was attacked by hornets from a nest between the gate reflectors (there is another nest on the mid-camp toilet). Received 6 stings to my face. Rangers or cleaning contractors should be prepared to check for and remove these to protect patrons. It made for a miserable night. Thankfully I was not allergic! This is a risk campers take, but it is not expected in an area that is easily mitigated and could become a medical emergency for some.

Hard to find similar experience.
I’ve fished Cold Springs Creek for nearly 20 years. Never been skunked before this year. Not sure what the stocking situation is…
