About Harmon Den Campground

Harmon Den Campground is nestled on a mountainside beneath a forest of mixed hardwoods in the Pisgah National Forest. The camp is in a secluded area off of Cold Springs rd. in Haywood County, and the individual sites provide ample privacy.   The upper loop is reserved for horse campers while the lower loop is reserved for tent camping and small trailers. There are no hookups, no dump station, and no drinking water at this time. There is a vault toilet facility for each camping loop as well as bear-proof garbage cans. What Guests Are Saying

Harmon Den Campground offers well-maintained campsites and open trails, providing a generally peaceful atmosphere. While some visitors experienced noise from nearby construction workers and issues with hornets at the entry gate, the facilities, including clean toilets, were appreciated. Overall, the campground is reasonably cared for, though cleanliness may vary compared to other sites.

Enjoyed our stay at Harmon's Den Horse camp. Very quiet campground. A beautiful bald, Max Patch, is very near by. You can ride horses to the bald or drive and hike the bald.

Wide open sites with plenty of space. Latrine was relatively clean. Only negative was that the water pump was not working.
