Campsite 11 had everything we wanted. It’s super close to the water pump and has water access to the large bay. We enjoyed the shade from the trees. It was wonderful to see the crabs crawling around their homes in the morning. There is no running water in the bathroom and the portapotty near #16 had a smell. But #11 was nicely secluded away from that smell as well as viewing from most other sites. It was also a 20-30 min drive to the beach which was perfect!

We used this for an overnight stay waiting for the ferry to Cape Lookout. For a campground on the water, it has no visibility to the water without walking a trail to the river bank. This place could be much better with a little underbrushing, which would help with airflow and reduce flies. No plans to return.

We had a very fun time camping at Oyster Point Campground. The bugs were the only problem. Seems like bug spray doesn’t keep them away but overall the camp was enjoyable. The fire pit was a bit worn out. But we plan to camp there again.

Our Boy Scout Troop had a wonderful time over the weekend. Mrs. Tonia Gillikin is one of the nicest people you could ever meet. She made sure we were squared away when we arrived and checked in on us through out our stay to make sure everything was ok. We will be coming back for future camping trips.

It was a beautiful campground with large private sites. Campground host was very friendly and helpful. Bathrooms were clean. Quiet and relaxing -- great place if you like to camp with nature.
