One of the true hidden gems of NC primitive campgrounds! Grounds are well taken care of, the sites are big and not to close to each other, and the host is very nice.

The camp is nice but it should be closed during "bug season". As soon as we arrived we were attacked by a swarm of flies, no amount of bugs spray helped. It was so intense that we had to leave 20 minutes later. We could stay longer.

The campgrounds were clean and the site was spacious for the RV. The gravel road to the campgrounds was in great condition. The Hostess was pleasant and informative. There were no bathhouses, not that we saw but there were pit toilets available and there is potable water (run the spigot a few minutes prior to collecting). Keep in mind is a non electric facility. One high issue to note - flies - they were ferocious during our stay (mid/end Aug), deep wood off was candy for them, we couldn't hike the Neusiok trail - that is easily accessed from this campground. Enjoy and have fun.

The campsite was clean. Beautiful view of the water. The host was very helpful and kind and friendly. Bathroom was well kept with supplies and clean. The road into the campground was a smooth ride in. Surprisingly we didn't need to spray much bug spray on ourselves. It was an amazing experience and will be returning again. Very affordable for the week worth of camping. I love it and definitely will tell our family and friends out here in Dobson NC and West Virginia and Pennsylvania and Massachusetts to reserve a camping spot here. I give it more than a 5 star rating, it's more like 10 plus stars rating. Thank you for letting us camp with you and we will see you again!
