Roxanne Riccio is the model for what a campground host should be. She is friendly and outgoing and helpful in every possible way. Roxanne is a happy person, and she makes it her daily goal to make everyone around her happy, too.
Matthew Tolson is one of the nicest human beings I've met. He cares so much about this campground and works so hard to take care of it and repair what needs repairing. He cares about Ocracoke and the way of life there, and he deserves a giant raise for all that he does.

Had an amazing time .... showers were cold but very refreshing honestly :). The facility was so clean and kept so nice and manicured. Still had a feel like it was so natural. We will definitely come back!

Loved the campground, not crowded this (Nov) time of year, clean restrooms, great access to beach....
Hated it that the redfish didn't cooperate

Nice campground, but even in November the mosquitoes were terrible. Hot water in the shower would be nice, but we still enjoyed our trip. The campground was quiet and dark, great for star gazing. It was nice hearing the crash of waves over the dunes.

Beautiful campground, nice level sites. Shame there have been no infrastructure improvements like water and electric.

Overall all, a nice visit. Main issues are the poor condition of the picnic tables and location of the dump station. The table was badly weathered with split boards and rusted away bolts. The dump station was difficult to find as it was not on the campground map and no sign at the road. The dump station sewer hatch is broken.

Great place to unplug and relax, enjoy nature, fish, ride the bikes, walk on the beach and wake up to outstanding sun rises!
Check the weather frequently and bring lot of bugs spray!
