Davidson River

We didn't realize when reserving that the host site was visible/almost in our campsite. HOWEVER, they were super quiet and respectful and never knew they were there. Bathrooms were really clean, everyone was friendly, and it was quiet as soon as quiet hours started. 10/10 reccomend and will be back!

I like the woods and that you can hike , ride , walk , run, right out of the campground. The facilities are in working order and it was quiet while I was there.

Definitely my favorite campsite! Davidson River is my favorite place to camp. So close to Pisgah Forest and Brevard so there’s a lot to do. I’ve already booked my next trip here.

Nice clean quiet campsite, I really enjoyed myself. Things that I did not care for was there was people smoking pot at the swimming hole. The bathrooms weren't that clean and one of the toilets did not work. Don't get me wrong it's Absolutely beautiful place.

The staff was amazing, from the time we checked in until we checked out they gave us recommendations, helped with directions and serviced the campgrounds so they looked like a travel brochure. The area is very nice with plenty of activities to keep you busy for weeks. The location on the Davidson River is second to none and the camp sites are large enough to accommodate a large family.

Staff was professional and friendly. Camp site was very clean as were the surrounding grounds. Bath houses were also very, very clean. I will happily return.

We come to Davidson River Campground every year. It’s well taken care of, family friendly, a beautiful location by the river and convenient to Brevard as well as Sliding Rock, the Blue Ridge Parkway, waterfalls & hiking trails.

The campground as a whole is very nice, with clean sites, quite a few bathroom and shower facilities, access to trails, and mostly well-spaced sites.

Site 153 in particular, though, is not one of them; it backs up against site 161 with no tree buffer, so if, like me, you end up with loud neighbors who show up late, set up their tent ten feet from yours, and stay up all night talking, your night is going to be unpleasant. It's also directly across from the trash dumpster, so your likelihood of being disturbed by people or animals is higher too. It would work better as a group site combined with 161 if you've got two groups who want to be together.

I had one bar of cell service from inside the tent; not enough for complicated tasks, but enough for basic online searches, maps, whatsapp messaging, etc., which is as much as I needed.
