This was our second time staying at Davidson River Campground, the first time tent camping, this time in a travel trailer. There are so many walking and biking trails accessible from the campground that we never used our car this trip. The staff is very nice and there are bath houses within a short walking distance from each spot we've stayed. I do wish they had more spots with electric & water hookups, but nothing we can't work around!

Excellent setting along the Davidson River. Good bathroom and shower facilities. Lots of fishing, hiking, biking, and swimming available, as well as touring nearby waterfalls.

Always a good experience… camping by the Davidson River. Staff is friendly, sites are well cared for, and the mountain bike trails are challenging. Plenty of wonderful eateries in Brevard. What else could you ask for?

First time camping there. Had a great time, despite some rainy days. Cell service was weak, as expected, but a decent signal could be obtained by walking out about 200 yards past the entrance station. Staff was very friendly and helpful. This is a great place for access to numerous nearby hiking trails.

The park is beautiful, the surrounding trails amazing, both hike or bike. Enjoyed Palm Sunday service at the peaceful English Chapel. Gate staff was so friendly. An extra shout out to NICOLE for help maneuvering the reservation system for a site change with patience. Her words, “you’re as important as the next person” will stay with me always.

A number of first-come, first-serve sites are offered during the winter only. Availability is extremely limited during peak season, weekends, and holidays. It is recommended that visitors reserve other sites ahead of time. |

Single campsites are limited to 2 vehicles per site and double campsites limited to 4 vehicles per site. Additional vehicles wishing to park at the site are subject to a $5.00 per vehicle fee. |

All campsites must be occupied the first night of a reservation. Any unoccupied site on the first night will be released for other users and reservations will be cancelled without opportunity for refund. |

Pets are allowed on-site and must be supervised for the duration of your stay. Dogs must be kept on-leash or contained for the duration of your stay. Dog fences are not allowed in the campground. |

Davidson River is located in black bear territory. Visitors are expected to keep all smellable items locked away inside a camper, vehicle, or provided bear box. Visitors who do not comply with this rule may be asked to vacate the facility due to an increased risk of public safety. |

Generators may be used up to 4 hours per day between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m.; generators not allowed on Poplar Loop (sites 99-113) |
