Davidson is a unique and beautiful park with hiking in and around the park, rustic yet all the amenities of a small town within a 1-3 miles.

Davidson River is a beautiful campground, part of the reason I have returned here since it opened in 1975. It is the perfect hub for adventures in the Pisgah National Forest or Brevard, Asheville, Hendersonville, and the Blue Ridge Parkway. Waterfalls and hiking trails are everywhere, and the campground itself is the perfect place to get exercise, whether walking or riding a bike.

Beautiful sites, spaced far apart so lots of privacy. Large sites close to bathrooms in all loops. Friendly & helpful staff. After we checked out we booked 3 future reservations!

Awesome campground!!! Just a few steps to the water and a short bike ride to town. Can't wait to go back next year!

We love Davidson River Campground so much that we book 2 times a year for the last 9 years. Hemlock is our favorite loop although we enjoy all of them. The staff are really nice and one family has now been there for 4 seasons and it is nice to see them each year and watch their family grow. The location is perfect for hiking or day trips to other areas. Close to shopping, breweries, and downtown. There are bike trails from the campground to downtown and a lazy river that when the water levels are up it is really nice to relax and float. I highly recommend the camp ground for anyone visiting the area. We’ll be back in October!

Beautiful park with friendly staff, only complaint is the showers didn’t have hot water at time of use.
I still rate it 5 stars.

Campgrounds are nice. The only problem are the push buttons in the shower that can be annoying.

As is always the case, I had a great time camping in site 138, my first time using this particular site. The closest bathhouse is in need of repair but still functional and a nice reprieve for cleaning up after a long day of fly fishing. I acquired a case of poison oak which I am still treating, and I believe was acquired at the campsite. It will not stop me from returning for my fall camping trip though.
