Great spot to camp, perma John on site, plenty of tables, 4 tent pads and fire pit with grill surface as well as a separate grill on pedestal. Short walk from parking area over a bridge.

This is a wonderful place to bring kids. We loved the bridge and creek access and the water pump and lockable box especially.

Beautifully maintained and managed group campsite. Just a heads up, "van-lifers" and mountain bikers like to park at the campsite parking lot so if you are a big group, you might run out of parking if they beat you to it.

Great open campground along a beautiful creek. We enjoyed the privacy of a group campground. All the kids were able to safely run around and explore. Already planning our next trip!

This site was perfect for our group. It is easy to access and to find. It is a beautiful little spot right next to a stream. There are lots of great hikes with waterfalls nearby.

Amazing location. Right on the road so you might wanna keep your dogs on a leash. Conveniently located only 10 minutes from town but with access to some of the best trails in Pisgah.

White pines campground is an amazing spot! We used it as a home base for a week long college outdoors society camping trip, and it was everything we needed and more. It’s central to amazing MTB and hiking trails, as well as secluded and peaceful at all hours of the day. The bear box and bathrooms were clean and very very nice to have, especially with such a big group.
We will absolutely be back and couldn’t have asked for a better experience in Pisgah National Forest!

The site is beautiful but 2 things you should know. The site has a lot of gravel areas and after 2 days my poor doggo had very sore feet. I will buy him boots for next time. Also the water is really really brown. So much so that we didn't even feel safe using it for cleaning. I think it's just really rusty but with that whole Flint Michigan thing we weren't risking it! The site is very nice, private, the lil creek is fabulous and the bathrooms are the nicest pit toilets I've ever seen.

Clean, level sites with all amenities as advertised. Calming river in the background to obscure your snoring. Perfect

The site is more than adequate for a large group campsite though there are two items of note:
- The potable water source is not clear, so you may need to secure drinking water from the Davidson River Campground if this is a concern.
- The Pit toilets, though convenient, need a good pump/cleaning/deodorizing.
