The name says it all! We had an incredible time hiking the trails and exploring the scenic creeks in the area. We ventured out to the surrounding towns, discovering so much to offer with this truly hidden gem! The owner greeted us warmly, making us feel right at home. We’re already planning to return for the spring and summer adventures!

Our family stayed for two months this past year from the middle of November through the middle of January. Our favorite “thing” about the campground was by far the owners! We absolutely love staying in smaller privately owned campgrounds for this exact reason. Mr. Eric and Mrs. Kristy did not disappoint. On New Years they visited each other camp site with a fresh baked loaf of homemade bread, just one example of how they personally made us feel welcomed.
The sites are spacious. We were able to fit our 46 foot 5th wheel, truck and SUV in our space with room to spare! Each site comes with a picnic table and a fire ring. They also offer fire wood for sale on site. It is a rather generous amount (costs less than the local store) and is delivered to your site at no additional fee.
On the property there is a fenced in dog park and it is away from the campers, which I extremely appreciate. There are also several doggy areas located on the property, bags and trash cans are provided! There is a pavilion with seating and a giant connect four game for everyone to play. Adjacent to that there is a community fire pit with lounge chairs. They also have a park for kids to play, our 4 year old absolutely loved it!! WiFi is available. There are multiple trails on the property for everyone to enjoy, the front office has a map with the distance of the trails. They are well kept and easy to navigate. Along the campground intertwining with the trails is a creek. Some of the sites back up to it. The site we stayed in, site 6 did not back up to the creek, however we could clearly hear it. It was very relaxing to listen to it while sitting next to the fire! Last but not least, there is daily trash pick up! You set your trash at the end of your site and it is collected for you!
I highly recommend this rv park if you are in the area or looking for a peaceful getaway!! It is absolutely beautiful and you won’t regret your stay! I cannot wait to circle back around to it again! If you don’t have an RV no worries they have one on site for you to stay at!

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Heaven in the Hills. We take an annual trip every fall to celebrate our anniversary and my birthday and this year due to the tragic loss of our favorite mountain campground we were looking for a new place to continue a new season of this special family tradition. We were impressed with the beautiful thoughtful layout of the campground, the well thought out amenities and small touches, the WiFi setup, and the well laid out sites. We have a 45ft toy hauler which requires ample space to park and maneuver. We had no problems navigating the park or the site and were very pleased by the placement of trees and driveways. Everything shows such an attention to detail and true love of people. We met Eric and Kristy upon arrival and were so warmly welcomed. Little treats for our kiddos, and our pup, even a scavenger hunt. The trails around the creek along the campground are clear and utterly beautiful. We do a lot of camping and could immediately tell this place was special. Every detail matters to them and they truly make it feel like a little bit of Heaven away from the hustle of life. We can’t wait to go back. We definitely found our new special place!

We cannot say enough good things about this hidden gem of a campground!! Brand new, built with great attention to creating a quality camping experience. Owners are super friendly and kind.
The layout so far is awesome--the spacious sites are level with gravel pads, fire ring and new picnic table. And they are designed with privacy in mind. Everything for a restful and rejuvenating getaway.
Mount Airy (aka Mayberry RFD) is nearby as are state parks, wineries, and just beautiful countryside views.
We WILL be back!!!

This campground is amazing, not to mention brand new with beautiful surroundings, two creeks and two trails. Campsites are spacious, level, with a fire pit and picnic table at each one. Some back up to the creek. Kristy and Eric have put their heart and soul into this and it shows. They make you feel right at home when you arrive. Pet friendly and a nice size dog park. There are doggie bags and trash cans through the campground. A nice playground with a covered pavilion with picnic tables and games. They are already talking about adding more! Be sure and look at the goodies in the office. The coffee mugs are amazing! We will be back soon! It is secluded which we loved. Still close to Hanging Rock State Park, Pilot Mountain, Mt. Airy and wineries if you want to actually leave! We will be back and love they are open year round!
