A great place to camp. Friendly host and Park Service staff.
Terrible road getting in and out. The site we had, #22, had standing water around the fire pit. In general, all the sites could use some gravel and a little work to avoid standing water.
The valley is a beautiful area with elk and other wildlife.

One of the best trips I've made. Lots of animals to view. I saw at least 3 bears every day. Many elk, and turkey too.

Loved every moment. Rain was consistent throughout the weekend but it didn't take away from the experience. Site was tidy and everything was as expected.

First time at this campground and we loved the location. We were able to see elk, turkey and my husband saw a bear (not in the campground). We camped next to some people who were quite loud and didn’t respect quiet hours, but that is just the luck of the draw, I guess. The only thing that I would like to see changed was the location of the fire ring at our campsite. It felt like an afterthought and was uncomfortably close to the adjoining campsite. There was room for it to be better placed. It would also be nice if there was firewood approved by the NPS available to purchase in the campground. The hosts said we could use whatever wood we found on the ground, but everything was quite wet. Still, I enjoyed this campground and would go back - as long as I was in a different campsite and purchased firewood bundles ahead of time.

We had a great time at the park camp. Super quiet. Did a lot of dark sky and wildlife photography. Amazing stream behind the site. Potable water was about 20 yards from our site. Flsuh toilet bath house. Really appreciate the weather updates posted on the bulletin board every morning because cell phone was no signal the entire trip. Even had an elk literally lick the camper as I finished packing up. Going back soon.
