Cataloochee Campground offers a beautiful and peaceful camping experience, with friendly hosts and abundant wildlife, including elk and bears. I cant really review this camp ground as they were closed. This site took my resevstion along with my 25 site fee even though the grounds were CLOSED. Still have yet to receive a refund on site fee. Not holding my breath.

Clean, wooded sites. Great location near old buildings and elk herd. Only 1/2 full while we were there, but very quiet with white noise provided by Cataloochie brook. Female campground host seemed to have a bit of an attitude when we checked in.

Best visit here yet! It was a quiet week, just what the doctor ordered! Elk everywhere and the hiking is always good. I really enjoyed walking on the closed roads.

A beautiful little campground located right on the river. Lots of trees, sites are nicely sized, and it's a perfect location to easily go see the amazing elk in the park.

Very quiet, nice neighbors. Road in sucks, campsites are very close together and tight to get it. No electricity, no dump station. Most excellent camp ground host. Game viewing is great, but typical of federal camp grounds, just worn out. Tired needs a major face lift. ill likely not go back, at least with a camp trailer.
