Beautiful setting and close to Boone, Valle Crusis, and the racetrack where the menfolk did NASCAR Allstar festivities. The bathrooms need updating. No hooks to hang things while showering. Hard to shower without getting your clean clothes wet. Camp sites were very spacious and depending on where you are, you get great views of the water. Wish there were paved bike trails around. Plenty of mountain trails but for this casual biker, the only place to ride was on the campground roads and neighborhood close by.

Had the best campsite in the place: 20 A loop. My husband enjoyed the fishing right at our site. He caught a 4 lb bass!! I loved putting in my kayak right at our site and of course the view of the beautiful lake was amazing. Bathrooms are spotless as is the campground itself. Love the staff, people and natural surroundings. Will definitely be back!!
