What Guests Are Saying
Bandits Roost campground offers beautiful lake views, clean and well-maintained facilities, and spacious sites, making it a popular choice for campers. Guests appreciate the friendly and helpful staff, as well as the peaceful and quiet atmosphere. However, some areas, including the bathhouses and fire pits, require updates and maintenance, and there are occasional issues with the entrance gate and site cleanliness between campers. Overall, it remains a beloved destination for many.

Wonderful time to visit the lake. Marvin, camp host on duty was an excellent ambassador for the campground. Knowledgeable & interesting to talk to; he & his wife with the other team, keep Bandit's Roost campground in good shape.

We just stopped for the night, left following morning, campground was nice, site was fine, bathhouse was clean, overall nice place to go for walks, and if equipped enjoy the lake.

We had a nice site, beautiful area. Need some hooks in bathhouse and drainage in shower needs some improvement. Overall it was a nice trip. Had planned to visit Wilkesboro on a Monday, most locale restaurants were closed on Mondays. Keep that in mind for future visits.

We have stayed at Bandits Roost many times. This time we were in our class c. Ask at the gate if we needed anything to put on our site to show that it was occupied... answer no. Came back to the campground, and received an e mail saying that we were given a credit for one night because we had left early. We did not check out, we were out and about in our class c. This meant that we had to reregister, another charge to our credit card. We have worked in state and federal camp grounds, and if the camper had paid for the site, and was never in the site, we never assumed that they had departed early. The site was paid for and it was their site until the regular check out date. Unless the camper has advised they were leaving early, and that site is paid for, then the on site employee should not take it upon their self to decide who has left early and who is still in the camp site. If paid for, then it is the campers until the scheduled check out date.
