The Hosts this year were awesome. Been camping at Bandits Roost for 60 years and still one of my favorite places. Just wish funds were available to update bathhouses and camp sites with new rail road ties with new gravel.

I do not feel as safe at this campground as before because of the entry gate being broken. or this is what they keep telling me. I'm not sure I believe this story because of how long it has been broken. as it is now any vehicle can just drive into the campground any hours of the night. I have talked to other campers and many feel the same way.
Is it because they don't pay the gate workers anymore??
Major concerned frequent visitor.

We, my family and I stayed at Bandits Roost in North Wilkesboro. We always camp there, it's a great place to camp. It's peaceful and quite, everyone is supper friendly and helpful. The only thing I would change is the bathhouses. They could stand some major upgrades. Other than that we'll keep coming back. Great place to camp.
