Beautifully wooded campground with about 1/3 of more open sites on the lake. There is a small swim area, but there are other nearby swim areas within 2 miles. There are only 2 full bath houses for the whole campground (100+ sites) and several pit toilets. The bathhouse on Loop A is aging and could use an upgrade. Hiking/biking trails are still closed a year after Hurricane Helene damage. I suspect the limited repair work (done by volunteers) is because of CoE cuts due to DOGE. I saw the ranger only once in 4 days. In spite of the limitations we enjoyed our stay.

I come here for the lake and to bring our boat. I just wished they would cut down all the long weeds that have been growing for a long time it takes away from the beauty.
