What Guests Are Saying
Bandits Roost campground offers beautiful lake views, clean and well-maintained facilities, and spacious sites, making it a popular choice for campers. Guests appreciate the friendly and helpful staff, as well as the peaceful and quiet atmosphere. However, some areas, including the bathhouses and fire pits, require updates and maintenance, and there are occasional issues with the entrance gate and site cleanliness between campers. Overall, it remains a beloved destination for many.

We love this campground. However, we do not like recent changes. The entry gate has been broken for 2 years, with use of movable barriers, making it much less secure. There are no full-time employees to contact with questions or concerns. Park rangers drive through only occasionally. Maintenance of the grounds is sporadic - we had weeds growing through the gravel on our site. All the small trees have been removed on the campsites near the water on the outer loop A and it looks so bare. Yet there are many scrubby small trees growing around other sites that add nothing of value. No problems with litter and we do not use bath houses. We still camp here but not as often as in years past. Most reservations must be scheduled 6 months out.

We were in the prettiest part of loop A. What a great location. How you managed to arrange that severe thunderstorm with 45 minutes of hail, just for our entertainment (ha ha), I do not understand. OK. the storm wasn't your doing. It really was an enjoyable campground. We will return.

Great site. Clean. Level. Worked perfect with our 37 ft RV and tow dolly with my car. Campground was clean and quiet. Enjoyed walking the loops. Bathroom was clean when I visited it during walks. It is side facing the road, but we liked waving and saying hello to folks passing by. Attendants were very friendly at the gate. They do have ice and firewood for sale with cash. Nice non-moveable concrete picnic table, separate concrete prep table beside the grill. Fireplace. Will definitely be back.
