Our campsite was clean and close to level. The firewood is reasonably priced. And, it was delivered!

We love Bandit's Roost. It's truly camping. The sites are great with plenty of room and everything you need. There's a firepit, picnic table, a prep table and hooks to keep your garbage up and away from creatures. This is our go to place to stay.

We stayed in site 92. The campsite area is not level and we had to park the camper at an angle maybe 10 feet from the hookups. The campfire ring is at the front of the site instead of the back which means you have to move the vehicles off to one side. I would not book this site again.

From Winston-Salem, North Carolina, take Highway 421 North (approximately 55 miles) to Exit 286B, turn left onto Highway 268 and continue for approximately 5 miles. Turn right onto Jess Walsh Road. Campground entrance is located at the end of the road.
From Charlotte, North Carolina, take I-77 North (approximately 60 miles) before merging onto Highway 421 North towards Wilkesboro/Boone. Continue to Exit 286B (approximately 20 miles), turn left onto Highway 268 and continue for approximately 5 miles. Turn right onto Jess Walsh Road. Campground entrance is located at the end of the road.

Winston Salem: 1 hour.
Charlotte: 1.5 hours.
The campground is accessible via Highway 421, which is approximately 5 miles from Highway 268, and I-77 is also within reach, merging onto Highway 421 toward Wilkesboro/Boone.
