This was the most beautiful campground with nice large private RV spots. Easy walk to the water and a beautiful trail. You won’t be disappointed if you visit here!

We stayed on site 26 it was secluded and quiet. It is a bit away from the bathroom if you are going in pop-up with no bathroom! Do remember you will need to drive to the swimming area but other than that the place is clean and quiet bathhouses were also well maintained!

We have been doing our family reunion at Shelter Ann at Fort Hamby for years. On this particular day, when we arrived, the shelter was nasty. There was leftover nasty rotten food on the floors and a horrible smell coming from the trash cans. There had obviously been a birthday party at some point and there was leftover trash and confetti all over the place. I realize funding has been cut for a lot of parks, but the shelter really needs fixing up. It’s sad seeing it get a lot of age on it and a wood rotting and needing repair!
We love coming here and it’s always a pleasant experience, but she needs a little TLC so we can continue coming here for years to come!

In general I had a great experience there. The only thing holding back from 5 stars is that after the Memorial Day weekend there was no hot water in the shower.
