Awesome campground right in the middle of the southern territory of Theodore Roosevelt NP. The campground is very well laid out with a lot of privacy for each spot. Also a really cool experience to see bison walking through the campground.

Cottonwood Campground is great. You can see Bison and Wild Horse sometimes in the open fields around d the campground. We saw a Bison right by a trailer. I would not recommend site 003 to anyone with a trailer. There isnβt enough space for a trailer and a tow vehicle and if someone is in 004 you will not be able to park your trailer. I would recommend this site for Class C or tent campers. We were able to move to another site which was beautiful and peaceful.

Our campsite was quite muddy - not much grass. Otherwise, nice campground

Really solid campground with little trails down to the river and plenty of bison nearby. Bathrooms were super clean and the site had plenty of room to set up in a couple different spots
