For people visiting the South Unit of Theodore Roosevelt National Park, Cottonwood Campground is a great place to stay. Located five miles (8 km) from the entrance to the South Unit of the park, the campground is open year-round. The campsites are small and maintained well. Flush toilets and running water are a great amenity to the campground. My fiancee and I tried to go on a hike but we're blocked by a flowing river. The trails are not as well marked as I would like them to be. Great views wherever you go.

Awesome campground right in the middle of the southern territory of Theodore Roosevelt NP. The campground is very well laid out with a lot of privacy for each spot. Also a really cool experience to see bison walking through the campground.
