Clean, tree-lined park with beautiful vistas convenient to trails and scenic drive. Bison visit within the campground. Campground road is not great for big rig. We have a 44' Class A and we could not avoid the tree limbs. Recommend sites 31, 29, and 44 for larger rigs. odd number sites are reservation only, even number sites are onsite reservation.

This place is a gem. I don’t even want to write a review in fear of drawing more attention. Get out of your car, hike around, and you make come face to face with a majestic bison.

Cottonwood was a fantastic ending to our camping trip to several national parks. Campsite was flat with excellent views, restrooms were some of the cleanest we’d come across, and my kids were ecstatic to see bison and wild horses across the river from our campsite just an hour after our arrival.
