Spectacular spot! Just lovely, we took a stroll down to the river and when we arrived there was a bison at the entrance!
The only hiccup was the location of the bathrooms - we couldn't find a public route in so you have to walk in/between campsites to get there.

Great location. Trail to the Maah Daah Hey trail right in campsite. Buffalo in the campground. Quiet. Clean. Can’t wait to come back!

We stayed at site #55 and would return immediately! It's right by the riverside, and we encountered a group of wild horses grazing in the riverbed when we arrived. Our last day, a bison came across the river and walked through another tentsite nearby. It's a great spot for watching colors change during sunset. We were also close to the flush toilets and potable water. Technically you park and walk to the site, but it's the first site next to the parking area, so it was very convenient!

Loved being pretty much by ourselves surrounded by nature’s beauty. Attended a geology ranger talk and the predator talk at the campground. Both were excellent. We will definitely return!

Nice, quiet campground. No services at the campsite, but the (new) restrooms were immaculate. Camp hosts were friendly and knowledgeable.
