Located five miles (8 km) from the entrance to the South Unit of the park, the campground is open year-round. This is the best campsite! I had an amazing view and it was so pretty watching the sunset right over the mountains. I will say that this campsite is kind of windy, but I was prepared and it ended up being an amazing time! I cannot wait to go back!

We had a very nice campground that felt private due to the trees. A buffalo wandered into our campground one evening and I was great watching him graze.
