WE had a shady site, some gravel so it didn't get muddy when it rained. During the week is a great time to go, very quiet, yet a few campers to visit with.

The campground is beautiful! The campsite we were in was covered with trees so nice and cool! Bathhouse was clean and showers have a push button for water conservation.
Only negative is the lack of cell signal. I telework so the internet/cell service was essential. AT&T had no service but in a few spots. My Verizon Mifi worked well for what I needed with 1 to 2 bars.
There is a small roped off beach area near the playground that is enough to keep you cool. Its about 15 minutes from Valley City.
We would definitely stay again.
