What Guests Are Saying

West Ashtabula Crossing is praised for its peaceful atmosphere, beautiful views, and well-spaced campsites, making it an enjoyable destination for families and campers. Many guests appreciated the cleanliness and the attentiveness of the staff, including regular bathroom checks. However, some visitors noted issues with site leveling, noise disturbances from neighbors, and the lack of showers, which could detract from the overall experience.

This is an excellent campground, mostly quiet, secluded, im guessing there is more activity during the big three summer holidays? We have stayed here multiple times and never have had any issues!

Overall stay was good. The one problem I had is we used an ice castle was leveling it. We had to put about 18 to 24 inches of blocks under the back with the front end on the ground and the north east side was still low by about 6 inches.

The camper sites are very unlevel. We had a group of 4 campers and all of them were very difficult to get level. 2 of them we couldn’t drop the front far enough to get level. Nice place other than the spots. It was just redone a couple of years ago too. You’d think they would have done a little better job.

Stayed in site 26 and it was amazing! Space was good and had a small access to the water for our canoe. Fire pit was was a great addition. Only thing that I didnt prepare for was the parking pad. It was unlevel and aimed down hill to the water. a bit steep when walking off of pad to the grass but a camp rug easily solved that. All in all it was a great time.

It was beautiful there. The host was very nice. And they came and checked the bathrooms every day. Along withe the ranger was out there a couple times a day to check on things and im sure if you had questions they would have answered.

We had a nice spot, level site and great weather. The campground was very full, but not crowded. We were in a spot close to the road, so it was dusty. The traffic tends to go too fast...next time we will get a site farther in the campground.

Very nice place! No showers at the west crossing campground, but short drive over to the other side to get a shower.
