First time ever going camping. We just purchase a RV in July. So many things we didn’t know. We pulled up there Friday with the warmest greeting. Employees was exceptionally nice. Other camper was truly a gem to be around. Felt like we had left the out side world and was joined near the lakers with others that had left. Hated to leave . Definitely will be returning. Thanks so much for all your kindness and knowledge.

Western Reserve Campground is a mess and it smells like dead fish. The lake is absolutely disgusting. No adult or child should be swimming in it. The health department needs to test the water for safety. I requested the results of their water test and was denied. The cost is very high for the few amenities offered. Many campers are leaving or selling due to deterioration and impending rate increase.

We were given site 37 - in between two old permanent campsites. The drive was narrow, and most difficult to back into. Although I read a review about the WiFi, we were told there was NO WiFi by the staff. *Both staff members that we met were positive, and helpful - Hunter and Dustin. The location was good for attending the Canfield County Fair.

We wanted to see the band for Fourth of July, but we didn’t try to reserve until late. However, Hunter and Dustin made it happen for us!!! They worked very hard to get some new sites ready despite the rainy weather we had and were able to get us in!
The weekend was FANTASTIC, the staff were phenomenal, the band was GREAT and the fireworks were AMAZING!
One of the BEST camping trips EVER!

Most of the areas are pretty nice but we are sure that we won’t be back at this one in the future. To start, when I made the reservation, I chose a full hook up spot. Evidently they moved us to an electric/water only spot without our knowledge because I know that the spot they mentioned when we got here was not the spot I chose. Well they ended up putting someone in that spot before we got here by mistake. So they had no choice but to put us in a full hook up spot which I guess is for seasonal and full time residents. The area on the hookup side of our RV was always flooded and made it a total mess when emptying our sewage and gray water. Several of the full time sites were not maintained. The website states that they have 50 amp hookups, but they do not. The electrical plugs are old. Unsure of when they were last inspected. They do have a nice dog park on site. I do not recommend this RV park.
