Very nice small campground. We stay there whenever we are visiting family in Parkersburg.

There isn't much to do in the area. If your goal is rest and relaxation, this campground is the place. You can hear the traffic noise from the road quite frequently. The campground is very scenic with a river walk trail and viewing platform.

It would be nice if a shade tree would be strategically planted for Site#2.( The site we were on during our trip) It and #18 have very little shade.

We enjoyed our hike on Scenic River Trail. This trail, accessible from the campground continued up the slope on the other side of the highway. We were impressed that a National Forest employee, Janet, was running a weed-whacker to keep the trail in order. We had a very pleasant conversation with her. Leith Run campground was a great base camp for exploring the local roads on our motorcycles. The campground was well maintained.
