Cold water shower in men’s bathroom. Website did not accurately describe site where we had to walk all our gear down a steep hill. Ranger station not open for visitors. Camp host not enforcing quiet rules with barking dogs.

Great set up, level tent pad. Had a great time with a group riding motorcycles.

Beautiful campground with many widely separated, private campsites. Most sites have water and electricity. Unfortunately during our stay the weather was extremely hot and humid preventing use of hiking trails. Our site #22, beautiful view down ravine, level but narrow pad, water hydrant had major leak so could only fill tank and not use city water port, trash scattered around campsite and in fire ring when we arrived. Will return, but would like to see hosts be more active in maintaining campground.

This is the second year we've camped at the Iron Ridge campground, and we had another great time. The water problem from last year had been repaired so we had water and electric at our site this time. The bathhouse was kept exceptionally clean during our stay...always a plus! Mark, the camp host, is very friendly and accommodating...he does a great job there; we were walking by his unit one evening and stopped by for a chat.
The hiking trails are very nice...we walked the Lakeshore trail during this trip. We met really nice people in the campground...meeting and talking with fellow campers is always a joy. Everyone seems to like the fact the camp sites are well-spaced and not on top of each other; yes, you are in a campground, but there is still a sense of privacy. We will be back again!!!

Our camping trip was great even with out running water. The site was very clean and comfortable little ground squirrels, birds and the occasional squirrel made it a nice weekend. I do wish for two things more trash cans and fire wood sales

The camping areas are neat and clean. There is a large, very private area with plenty of space and privacy. Forestry service patrols regularly and camp host are friendly and keep the camping areas neat and clean. There were no water services this year but it is our understanding the water project will be completed soon. We appreciate and frequently use the many public areas at Lake Vesuvius. We are fortunate to have such a wonderful place to enjoy. Great week!

Nice quiet campground. Stayed here in a tent with my motorcycle. Be aware that several tent sites may require a walk down a hill from where you park. Location is very well maintained. Would definitely stay here again. Only negative is firewood is hard to find.
