Burns Run West Campground is a wonderful place. I came here mainly to enjoy the night sky, and it was absolutely worth it. The Milky Way was clearly visible right overhead. The campground is clean, well maintained, and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The staff are genuinely friendly and helpful, which made the visit even better. I highly recommend this spot, especially for anyone who loves stargazing and peaceful nature surroundings

Please! Do something about the entry way into the park. Those of us that have long trailers have a hard time squaring up on the entry way. We have to run off the road a bit, to the right towards the tree, and then cut back towards the gate. Once we are squared up on the entry way we have to negoiate the fence by coming as close to it as we can without hitting it so that our RV doesn't scrape the roof of the building.
In addition, if you could speak with whom ever ownes the road getting to the park it would be greatly apprciated if they would cut the tree limbs back from hanging over the road.
Thank you, other than that it's a great place to camp.

The view of Texoma Lake from Burns Run West is awe inspiring. The area is peaceful, full of wildlife (deer almost every morning, little burrowing moles making a home near us, and geese stopping nearby for a break in their flight). The long pull through spaces under the tall trees are just gorgeous, even tho we've never been able to book one. The winding roads make for a special place to walk or ride bikes. There are two playgrounds situated on either end of the grounds that are clean and fun. Restrooms are clean and roomy but need lighting. Overall, it's one of our favorite places to camp.

Burns Run West has the best sunsets of all of Lake Texoma. Someone is always mowing there or running a string trimmer. We go there often! Clean bathrooms, too.

We had a nice site. Bathrooms were dark though as well as very warm and stuffy. The hand blower didn’t work and there were no paper towels.

Lovely campground, big sandy beach, nice winding road to ride bikes on or walk, plenty of shade, clean restrooms and campground, nice concrete pads, great staff.

This has the potential to be a five star campground - it has a wonderful beach area next to Lake Texoma and lots of shaded areas. The grounds themselves were well maintained BUT their bath house was the worst I’ve ever experienced. There was literally mold and mildew over all the walls and ceilings. We had no choice but to use them because we have got the water sorted out in our camper yet, but it was really gross. The ants were also so so bad. Our campsite was like one giant anthill. I’ve never seen so many ants in one spot in my life.
