To many people allowed to camp without paying, some camps have ten tents and ten cars but only one pays

I’ve been camping here my entire life, This is the best camp ground and spot on Lake Texoma! However, there are no rules against groups of people fishing, and I mean 20 to 30 fishing poles taking up the best beach. This means our kids or dogs can’t get on the beach or swim. There is plenty of other places to fish…and I just can’t believe this is allowed. Also, there is a growing problem of homeless taking up unpaid camp spots…I’m not trying to be insensitive about this situation..but they will go to camp sites asking for things and theft seems to have gone up. I’ve paid a lot for my camper and site and would love to enjoy the lake without worrying about these few things.

Campsite was great. Grass has been keeped trimmed. Employees were friendly & informative. negatives: there are no lights in the bathrooms nor do the hand dryers work. The campground maps are a waste of printed paper. They are not clear, smudged and the stuff icon's are just sitting randomly on the paper, nothing in the back ground for reference.

Excellent camp sites. The boat ramp is not protected from the south wind and makes loading and unloading boats difficult at times. Needs to be relocated in a cove or build a rock island on both sides of the ramp to help with huge waves making it difficult to load boats.

Very relaxing and peaceful, especially during the week. Close proximity to Choctaw Casino in Durant.

We always enjoy going to Burns Run West for a few days. Our site was level and had a nice path down to the water. Also had some nice afternoon shade. Bike ride over to Burns Run East was nice as well. We might try staying there in the future for a change of pace. Cell signals were strong and plenty of over the air channel options.
