Great experience, nice lake. Individual working there as an employee I would rate a “D”. He was almost rude, mentioned to me he did not like his job.
Maybe he needs to find another job. He almost would not let us in because I did not have some kind of a discount card, which never came up when I made the reservation. I had copy of my reservation I made on line and he said that didn’t matter. Plus, we were lost on the other side of the lake, when I called him he did not know his address to key into my gps. Pretty much an attitude problem, big time.

Both spots were very undeveloped, but since we are only 25 feet long we were able to Find an angle that didn’t max out our levelers. The hookups are in odd places in each site, in one case the water and power were at opposite ends of a pull through site and the water connection was shared with the next site which meant we were more than 50 feet from away. I ended up carrying water 5 gallons at a time to the RV and filling up our water tank.
The park is a beautiful hidden gem just a short distance off of Route 66. It was very quiet while we were there on weeknights, but it was starting to become busy as we left on Friday afternoon. Our last campsite (Site 21) was right on the lake. Even with the few shortcomings we would definitely stay here again.

Heyburn park is beautiful, pretty familiar and the the beach is also pretty good! It says pet friendly but the dogs can’t stay at the beach, neither inside the lake near the beach, so I only wish they allow them!

Stunning views. Well spaced out sites. Horrible bathrooms. I have a bathroom in our RV so not a huge issue for us but if you need public showers, beware.
