Our site showed a little shade in the picture on the website, but it was in full sun. The spaces are a little close, but the neighbors were quiet and early fishermen.
It was very peaceful and quiet. We will be going back again.

One of the electrical breakers (30 amp) on the power post was defective and kept tripping off.

We came to camp on Sunday bringing 3 young grandchildren with us. There were 2 large dogs at the next campsite who were not on a lease but there were 2 cars parked there. We assumed the dogs belonged to them. But when we woke up the next morning, the dogs were still there and no people. Our grands were afraid of them. We tried to keep our distance, but the dogs roamed freely. I tried to call the corp on Monday but only got an answering machine. I left a message. We went out on our boat, but returned to find the dogs in our campsite on our TABLE, going through our stuff!!! Called the corp again and still no answer!!! Left another message. This happened with the dogs multiple times!! Finally contacted Jack (live in maintenance guy). He helped us by contacting a Ranger. They finally drove through the next day and explained that there is no animal control in that county!!. By this time, there were now 4 large dogs roaming our camp. Nothing was done and we left on Wednesday. So disgusted that our trip was ruined by unleased roaming dogs.

Overall our stay was enjoyable! Buncombe Creek needs to be updated to 50amp breakers, epaulets just isn’t enough in this area of larger campers. The road in the the campground is horrible rough!
The bathrooms were spotless and the grounds were well kept. My only complaint about the grounds ere the little stick tights that my little dog got everytime she went outside!

I have a partner that meet here every year for spring crappie fishing. This is our fourth year at Texoma and we are very satisfied. The campsites are semi-secluded and shady. Couldn’t ask for a better time. The one drawback is some of the picnic tables don’t have awnings and so you can’t sit outside if it’s raining.

We have camped her several times and always enjoy our time at this park. Only issue is that we always seem to have an electric pole that trips breakers. Last time the maintenance people had to come and replace the breaker box this time we just ran the water heater and fridge on propane to keep the breaker from tripping. Other than that we had a great Easter weekend at the park!

It’s an older park, could use some updates. It was clean and quiet, we didn’t have anyone close by. I think they would get more people if they would fix the road leading in there. It’s really rough on the camper. We’ll be going here a lot because it under an hour from our house.

We really enjoyed our stay at Buncombe Creek Campground. We were right on the water and the weather was perfect for the first of April. I would like to go again and stay in a different part of the campground to see what it is like in a different spot. The "A" loop where we stayed is very nice but some sites could use a little maintenance and you have to watch for the ants.
