Great campground, nice staff and adjacent to lake. Stayed several times last year and enjoyed every time. Suitable for children as well.

Hawthorn Bluff offers a beautiful, well-spaced campground with plenty of shade, lake access, and recreational activities such as fishing and hiking. However, maintenance issues like overflowing trash, bathroom cleanliness, and access to amenities have been noted by several campers. Despite these challenges, many visitors still enjoy their experience and appreciate the park's overall charm and potential for improvement.

Loved the staff they were very accommodating! Would prefer wster hookups at esch site. This was very inconvenient. Otherwise was a nice location. Would prefer water access as well.

Park attendants are very nice people and we look forward to seeing them each time. Park is clean with beautiful lake views. Campsites are good size and water is easy to access. One thing happened this past fall - a campsite electricity was out and the host placed an orange cone on it to "decommission it". It was next to our site so we just set up a few chairs on it and the Camp Host told us we couldn't sit on it without paying an additional night's rental and made us move 6 ft. It was weird and unfriendly but was the first time that had happened.
