Lake was only .7 feet below normal pool and couldn't even get a boat in there over 12 feet without getting stuck in mud..plus they close the gates to your camp ground at 10pm at all their camp sites around the lake..so have to be at camp by then

Good, lots of Wasps in the picnic table shelter and grass was just cut, the clippings were everywhere. Grass was obviously cut when it was extremely long.

Wife and I really like going to Coon Creek. While we were there we got to see a Bald Eagle fly up and land in a tree right by our camp site. He was very beautiful. The camp host are real polite and they keep the park and bathrooms clean. They also have a playground for kids and my great granddaughter really likes playing there.

We stayed the 4th of July holiday weekend. The electric service would not stay on. It tripped off at the main 4 separate times over the weekend. The Corps took hours to respond resulting in our campers getting extremely hot and not being able to compensate until late in the night. The Corp also had the lake level so low that if you tried to use the boat ramp you would get hung up on the bottom of the lake. The corp continues to say the lake is at normal elevation but if that were true the boat ramps would be usable. It seems the corp does everything in their power to discourage anyone from using this lake for recreational purposes.

Quiet yet busy camping site. One of our favorite recreation sites. Near enough to the lake for watercraft; far enough away to be calm and relaxed. Corp personnel great. Special thanks to Aaron for help at site.
