Very clean, well spaced and scenic. Don't go expecting peace an quiet. It's frequented mostly by locals so it gets loud on the weekends.

Had a great time at this campground! Right by the water. My family was able to come and go without hassle from the front office. Large lot, near the water. The only thing needed was more water availability per site.

We have stayed at Tall Chief Cove many times and always have a wonderful time. However, there were a few things that I have noticed before that I didn’t think much of, but happened again this time that I will address. We were staying on C loop, but we sometimes use the restrooms on A loop because we like the shower/bathroom combo. However, this weekend there were 2 out of the 4 that had Out of Order signs, so the 2 that were open were filthy and out of toilet paper by Saturday afternoon. I am pretty sure they are cleaned on Sunday, but by that time, it’s just too late. They need more attention each day.
Last year, there was a gathering at the Pavillion at C loop. They were very loud with some type of cultural music that was not fitting with a campsite. We thought that was a one-off, but they were back again this year, so much be an annual event. Thursday night, Friday night, and Saturday, same celebration in the pavilion. They have a P.A. system and just blast the music and blow a horn. I am all for a celebration, but this is excessive. I went and talked to the lady at the front gate and she said there was nothing she could do until 10pm and there was not a ranger on duty. Disappointing. My husband and I come up to Tall Chief Cove to escape our busy, chaotic lives and this detracts from the peace and tranquility that we have so come to look forward to and enjoy over the years. Please make a change in the booking rules that will limit parties of this nature.
One more thing. We have noticed, especially since the flooding a few years back that the campsites are in need of attention. We generally stay on C42 where there used to be lovely trees that provided shade from the afternoon sun and to hang our hammock, etc. These trees are now dead (in need of removal) but it would be so wonderful if new ones were planted in their place. The sites in general are just starting to look like they are in need of some real TLC and upkeep.
Thank you so much!!!
