Beautiful and serene. Quiet, gorgeous grotto campsites. Camp host is so kind and always has wood for purchase. Very accommodating and an excellent place to stay. No cell service here. But you can get signal about 6-12 miles from campsite. The trail to the falls is a beautiful walk and worth the time. Stunning area.

Someone was in our designated campsite upon arrival. John gave us another campsite and it worked out. It was sad to see 6 reserved campsites were unoccupied and people were looking for campsites. It was frustrating for John for there is no way to get information to him that people have canceled.

Love this small campsite in the woods with easy hikes from the campground. Many of the sites are fairly private and surrounded by trees, apart from inside the loop. Site 1 is nice, flat, private with a pathway straight to the lovely creek. It's closest to the entrance and camp host site, a short walk to water spout and bathrooms just one site over.
No cell service. There was a notice about a mountain lion sighted the week before so that's a little concerning for solo hikers.

This site is a gem! Perfect location at the end of a lollipop loop in the campground with a trail to river access (shallow enough for littles to play with lots of tree canopy for keeping cool on those hot pnw summer days. LOTS of space between sites here, fresh water and ample dishwashing stations. Bathrooms were clean. We loved riding our bikes at the Alsea Trails just across the street and hiking to Alsea Waterfall, absolutely perfect location! Loved and plan to return again and again.
