I loved how secluded it felt. Loved the private creek path. Camp sites were good size. Loved it there.

Being super close to the trails was a huge perk
It was fairly quiet with the road noise depending on your spot. The biggest complaint was just that bathrooms weren't kept up the best and the smell and flies were a lot to deal with at times.

Otherwise very clean

It was a nice day of forest walks along the river to Alsea falls with my greyhound Fae' and a cold crisp clear starry night. It was a great night for a fire in the fire pit.

This was an awesome camp! The sites are very spacious and nicely spread out. There is a trail on both sides of the river that connects to the camp and both are very lovely hikes to the falls. The bathroom is in a good spot and there is water access all over!

There is a further hike to Green Peak Falls that I also did and really enjoyed. Beware that there is logging in the area so sometimes the hike can be closed with no notice until you are there. I was lucky on the day I walked it and got all the way to the falls. Some steep moments and poor conditions at some points but overall was still a nice simple hike!

If I had to say anything negative, I would say that some of the sites have to share a path to the river while others have their own private ones. The trail for my site (9) shared with two others and it basically goes into a different campground which was a little awkward. But that is a very minor problem and most of the trails by the river seemed very private.

I would definitely camp here again and highly recommend it!
