What Guests Are Saying

Fall River Campground offers a beautiful, clean, and quiet location ideal for fly fishing, with spacious campsites and easy access to the river. Many campers appreciate the serene atmosphere and the proximity to hiking trails. However, there were some issues with reserved spots being occupied and occasional noise from generators.

This campground is centrally located for activities in Sun River, La Pine, and twin lakes. The river was gorgeous but still much too cold to swim in even in August. The campground was quiet which is suprising given its proximity to the highway. The camping spots are spaced out enough to provide privacy. The whole campground was well maintained including the vault toilet. This campground is definitely only for those who aren't looking for creature comforts. We look forward to returning again next summer!

This campground is beautiful and well kept. Great for taking wildlife photos and enjoying being present in nature. The location of the campground provides plenty of activities like hiking, biking, swimming, floating, and fishing. You can take a short drive to any of the nearby lakes and take advantage of the activities they provide as well. We highly recommend Little Lava Lake. We were in the first campsite. It was very spacious for the two of us and could easily fit one more big tents or two more smaller ones. The site was a little ways away from the main road and you can definitely hear the cars that pass by during the day, but there are so few at night that it doesn’t cause a disturbance while you’re sleeping. There is no running water at this campground so be prepared and bring your own fresh water to drink and hand sanitizer for the vault toilets. This campground provided a great vacation spot for us and we’ll definitely come back again!

Camground is fine. Great host. Only negative is it's about 10 miles to the nearest water.

This campground is probably best left to the RVs, rather than traditional camping. In August it was very dry and dusty. There's not a lot of green and many campsites lacked a good level place to set up a tent, unless one just shared the RV parking space with their vehicle. With a wealth of other possibilities around the immediate area, I'd avoid this one for tent camping. On the plus side the little river is attractive, and the pit toilets are well maintained.
