Campground was clean and quiet. Our spot was relatively flat and easy to back in our 17’ trailer. The road in (FR 4630) was in better shape than we’ve seen it in years, but the road inside the camp areas had large ruts in places. It was a heavy winter and there was lots of standing water, so lots of mosquitoes. Weather was cooler than normal, so we had the whole lake to ourselves one day!

Not applicable.
We did not use our reservation as there was a forest fire nearby, resulting in an AQI of 300 for the first day of our reservation.

Lovely lake. Lovely camp host. Big sites spread out. Terrible road in though. Washboard. Be careful if following Google maps from Eugene if you have a big trailer. The forest road they have you take is narrow and rough. NF -700.

We reserved one of the last reservable spots in all of the Oregon Cascades for a last-minute camping trip at Little Cultus Campground. When we arrived, some other campers were leaving early and they gave us their (better) camping spot on the lake. We were in the last loop. The area is quiet and other campers were nice. The lake is beautiful and there are some trails along the lake and behind camping spot 27 or 28. We tent camped and there was a perfectly flat and groomed spot for a large tent, but we set up closer to the lake in the trees. Campsites were clean. The only downside was no internet. There is a store at Cultus Lake Resort about 6 miles from this CG. Other reviews mentioned the road. It is bumpy, but fine for probably all cars. We explored the road that does to Taylor and Irish Lakes and that road is much worse; we turned around after a couple miles, mostly because we were unsure if there were opportunities to turn around ahead.

Beautiful campground. Nice site, but nearby toilet (site 14) was nonfunctional (no time frame for repairs) and trash hadn't been picked up for a LONG time. Long walk to nearest toilet. Camp host tried, but only so much they could do.

Loved the camp ground been going there for over 30 yrs. It does need the road going in -fixed. Lots of pot holes...

The lake is beautiful, and oddly warm make swimming great.
The road into the camp ground was the horrible, especially when towing an RV. The road will stop me from going back there again and I'll warn others. Please repair it and let campers know. Fishing in this lake is not viable, very few signs of fish rising, and was told the lake had not be stocked in many years.

spectacular sunsets, friendly camp host-
the mosquitos were present but you could certainly use repellant and be fine.
Our particular week there were fires in the area, so smoke was an issue-
but overall we were soooo grateful to be there.
(and it was cool to meet alllllll the folks who were legacy return campers- we totally understand why!)

Beautiful campground and lake. Very quiet too as many sites we’re open ! Perfect place to SUP. The road 2 miles in is a bit rough and bumpy, but worth it!
